Chantal Largier

Chantal Largier’s musical life is guided by passion, courage, and an ongoing search for inner expression. She discovered the piano at six years old as a personal language that would shape her identity. At eleven, she moved to Tokyo, immersing herself in Japanese culture and intensive piano studies with renowned teachers. Early concerts and an award at the Youth Harmony Competition revealed her exceptional talent from a young age.

Back in Switzerland, Chantal studied at the Basel Music Academy and the Zurich University of the Arts, earning a Teaching Diploma, a Master’s degree, and a CAS in Performing Arts. Her career then took her to China, where she taught at Zhaoqing University and performed nearly 100 concerts in over 20 cities, appearing in major venues such as the Great Hall of the People in Beijing and the Shanghai Symphony Hall. Music became her bridge between cultures, including a special performance for the Swiss Embassy.

After returning to Switzerland in 2018, Chantal taught in Meilen until 2025, sharing her experience with young musicians. A life-changing accident in 2022 temporarily took away her ability to play, opening a new path into composition through improvisation. Since then, she has released several albums, beginning with TIMELESS, turning her music into an intimate diary of reflection and hope. Today, she lives in Switzerland, composes, performs internationally, and continues her lifelong dialogue with the piano — now through her own 1940 Steinway grand.
